I was asked to provide bridal accessories for this a winter lux wedding shoot at Coombe Lodge Bristol.
James and Kerrie, who are a wedding photographer duo known for their modern-day wedding style, had organised a shoot based on a wintery wonderland luxurious theme. The colour scheme was for crisp whites, cosy ivory’s, foliage green and accents of metallic gold and wintery textures.
The location was set a Bristol’s well sought-after wedding venue Coombe Lodge, which is nestled in the North Somerset countryside. This beautiful Bath stone manor house, which was established in 1932 and built over the old foundations of a 1759 property is a perfect setting for weddings. The idyllic views and the lakeside setting is a romantic dream for those wanting that stately home venue.
The ball gown style dress with a long sleeve lace bodice and a bateau neckline was the perfect choice from British designer Sassi Holford. I have had the pleasure in accessorising a few of Sassi’s dresses. They have such a timeless elegance to them and make my job in accessorising them such a joy.
This V-neck backline gives it that beautiful little sass whilst the full pleated skirt speaks fairy tale dreamy look. And let’s not forget that this dress is also fun and practical with its hidden pockets. Who doesn’t love a pocket on a dress?
The models soft up-do hair and flawless was created by Leanna Bigs who is based in Bath and is known for her passion for ensuring that all of her products used are 100% cruelty-free. I feel it’s so important to find makeup artists like Leanna who are supporting beauty cosmetic companies that care about our planet and the environment.
With the gorgeous hair ready and the dress now on, I chose a wintery style hair vine that beautifully complemented the whole look and was cohesive to the theme.
As with any hair vine, our Nina wedding hairpiece is perfect for anyone who is wanting something that can be adjusted to fit just perfectly on the day. The beauty of bridal hair vines is that they come with such versatility meaning you can choose the desired look.
This is graceful bridal hair vine with elegant mother of pearl flowers and sprays of romantic vines of clear Swarovski crystals and magnolia freshwater pearls. This alluring wedding vine can be worn to the side of the hair and across the top of a veil. She can also be attached to a band for added security.
The spectacular florals were crafted by Louise from Loubee Blooms. North Somerset based Louise’s passion is to create romantic floral arrangements from her studio at home. I love the beautiful arrangements she created at this shoot, full of classic colours of ivory and whites with lots of wintery foliage, with the bridal bouquet being a little bit more special with accents of gold.
The cosy table setting and shoot styling were created by Leanna from Leanna Elizabeth Weddings. She offers bespoke-led wedding styling with a whimsical, romantic elegance in mind, which you can see from the wonderful photos shown here. I love her styling so much because you can see that even with a small place setting of six, the elegance and drama that any table needs is all in there, but still radiating that classic look.
With green foliage, candles, amazing place settings, beautiful crockery and even fury feeling throws, she certainly gave this table the wintery luxurious theme. The elegant table name cards and stationery were designed by Fran from Hunter Gatherings. Her bespoke nature-inspired stationery is totally luxquisite. The quality in the stationary and the beautiful on-theme colours was a perfect choice to set the theme for this shoot. I always feel that your stationery is the sneaky peek into your wedding for your guests, so getting this right from the onsite is vitally important if you are wanting to stick to a wedding theme.
The all-important wedding cake did not disappoint either. Crafted by Cake My Day, this timeless cake radiates such modern elegance. I love the metallic gold foil and the pinecones to tie in the overall look. Also, for those wanting a little extra sweetness, why not include pretty cake pops to match the cake whilst treating your guest going with a hot chocolate bar.
And for those wanting a little warmth on the evening outside, there was also cosy blankets to hand.
Of course, we cannot forget the groom!
What an impeccable suit from Harrimans Menswear which is just ideal for the overall look. Warm and cosy whilst looking rather dapper.
We were in fact blessed with some idyllic sunny weather for the shoot, which can happen on those cold crisp wintery days. I love that a wintery wedding can really tie in that cosy romantic feel. James and Kerrie wanted to show that a winter wedding can be cosy and luxurious when you bring a theme together.
I would like to thank them for having me and I was grateful to be working with such a professional, friendly team.
